It was sold to Peter Hahn in 1972, and the older side (713 Monroe Ave) was leased to the Genesee Center for Arts & Education, then known as the Genesee Street Corporation because it had originally been located on Genesee St. It was known through the 1970'2 and 1980's as the "Genesee Co-op" of which a natural/whole foods cooperative was a significant part. Now it offers Genesee Pottery, the Community Darkroom (which started in 1977), and Printing & Book Arts Center.
