Dynamo 1 is one of two kinetic bronze sculptures located near the east entrance to Science Museum Oklahoma. They are almost identical sculptures, by the same artist, but this one is much larger. It is located at the northeast corner of the huge Imax dome.
An approximately 4ft. thin hoop forms the outside shape of this sculpture. Two half-circle pieces are twisted inside the hoop to form a shape that catches the breeze on a windy day and propels the piece to spin.
