Fishes are the subject of this work in Italian mosaic. Some are represented as a whole, like if they had been scanned, and others, fragmented and flat, like a collage.
This mosaic is a work by Rolando Sá Nogueira. It´s one of three placed on the same walkway (Passeio de Neptuno/Neptune Walkway)by the Parque das Nações Marina on the Tagus Riverside. The whole set of mosaics are called Rio Vivo (Live River).
Rolando Augusto Bebiano Vitorino Dantas Pereira de Sá Nogueira, name that he shortened to Rolando Sá Nogueira, was born in Lisbon on the 19th of May of 1921. He died on the 18th November 2002.
