CZ: První písemná zmínka o obci Ježená (Jezina) pochází z roku 1226, kdy papeže Horonius potvrzuje, že je ve vlastnictví Želivského kláštera. V roce 1233 je Jezina jmenována v listine Václava l. Puvodne ceská ves byla osazena ve 13. století nemeckými kolonisty, havíri kterí prišli v dobe “stríbrné horecky“. Zbytky stríbrných šachet ze 40. let 13. století jsou dodnes k videní v lesích u obce. Kdy vznikla první kaple v obci není doloženo. Soucasná kaple sv. Jakuba stojí od roku 1775. Kaple je ctyrboká, se zvonickou na vrcholu stanové strechy. Její barokní character je setren pozdejšími úpravami. Puvodní zvonek z roku 1782 byl v první svetové válce zrekvírován, dnešní zvonek je z roku 1922.
ENG: The first written evidence of the village Ježená (Jezina) dates from 1226, when Pope Horonius confirms that it is owned by Želiv monastery. In 1233 Jezina is named in the charter of the Czech king Vaclav l. Originally Czech population of the village was replaced in the 13th century by German colonists, miners who came in the "silver rush". Remnants of the silver mines of 40 the 13th century are still seen in the woods near the village.
When was the first waychapel build here is not documented. The current chapel of St. James is from 1775. The chapel is tetrahedral, with a belfry at the top of the tent roof. Its baroque character is erased by subsequent modifications. The original bell of 1782 was in the First World War requisitioned, today's bell is from 1922.
