The climbing facilities here are rated highly in the country with the scale and activities on offer. There is over 1200 square metres of wall to climb and 80 rope lines. Amongst the routes are easy, angled lower walls and huge overhangs and roofs lasting 14m in length.
Courses include taster, beginners and recreational sessions for the more experienced climber. Also there is a real rock programme which takes you outdoors.
Equipment is available to hire and staff are available during certain sessions to give tips and support. Abseiling is available from a special 11m platform. Courses for climbers give valuable confidence and help achieve the next grade. Also Instructor Awards produced by the Mountain Leader Training Board can be taken after the relevant course.
Sessions run during the day and evening with children's courses including age ranges 4-7, 7-10 and 10-18. There is also a Calshot Climbing Squad for young people wanting to enter competitions. Schools and colleges are welcome to take courses, summer adventure holidays take place here and there is an over 60's session.
