Text fromt he plaque:

"Rev. C. Flaher, O.M.I.
The village of Falher was named after the Reverend C. Falher, O.M.I., a Roman Catholic Missionary. He was born in the town of Josselin Brittany, France, on March 30th, 1863, and came to Canada in 1887, arriving at Grouard in 1889.

He was noted for his outstanding ability to interpret and speak the Cree language. He referred to the district around Flaher as the "Happy hunting ground" of the indians because of the large number of fox found in the district and the cayuses wintered in the open on great quantities of peavine."
Location: A small park with numerous town dedications and historical plaques
