This benchmark is a disc set on the west side of the steps at the north entrance of the Kemper County Courthouse in DeKalb, MS. The benchmark has been somewhat painted but it is still visible.

DESCRIBED BY COAST AND GEODETIC SURVEY 1935 IN DEKALB. 1 FOOT WEST OF THE WEST END OF THE SECOND STEP FROM THE TOP, IN THE TOP OF A CONCRETE BANNISTER, AT THE NORTH ENTRANCE TO THE KEMPER COUNTY COURT HOUSE.
