There are two plaques, the first a wooden one from a small redundant church building in East Burton. The memorial contains the names of the fallen from both World Wars and reads as follows:

'ROLL OF HONOUR

To the Glory of God and in
thankful remembrance of the
following men from East Burton
and Newburgh Winfrith who
joined his Majesty's Forces during
the Great War 1914 - 1919
