This caboose was part of the Northern Alberta Railroad, but is now part of the tourist information centre's display here in Grimshaw.

Incorporated in 1929 under the joint ownership of the Canadian National and the Canadian Pacific Railway Companies, the Northern Alberta Railway was the result of the amalgamation of 4 marginal railways in the northern part of the Province of Alberta in Western Canada.

The N.A.R. carried fuel, food, building supplies, vehicules and of course people up into the North and oil, coal, lumber, grain, ore, fish, cattle and of course people, down South to civilization.

Part of a tourist information centre and park
