Built in 1637-1638 for Madam of Hummer by Michel Villedo, this hotel passes, in 1646, to Claude de Guénégaud, rich treasurer of the Savings.
In 1733, it is the property of the marquess of Ecquevilly, the general captain of the hunting, who commands decorations to celebrate his favorite activity.
It is as a mark of his office that we find on the portal a mascaron of head of wild boar and knockers in heads of dogs and, under the hall, the bas-reliefs representing heads of deers, quiver and arrows. It takes then the nickname of hotel "du Grand Veneur".
In 1901, the Hotel is bought by the Society of "Magasins Réunis" then in 1985 becomes the luxury shop window of the industrialist Jacob Delafon.
The hotel of "Grand Veneur" hounds is the object of a big project of renovation dedicated to the housing and to the business.
