Located on the banks of Fountain Lake. The statute is a symbol of the Danish heritage of Minnesota. The plaque refers to the park name as Lincoln Park. Lincoln Park was renamed New Denmark Park.
Note the purple belt. Visitors may find the mermaid "dressed" in various attire during the year. She's been seen wearing football jerseys, hats, t-shirts undergarments.
