The Infantry Statue was in part modelled by Victoria Cross hero, Johnson Beharry. Private Beharry, 26, who won his VC after saving the lives of more than 30 comrades in Iraq.
Pte Beharry, serves with the 1st Battalion the Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment.
Private Johnson Beharry, twice saved the lives of colleagues while under enemy fire.
He is still recovering from massive head injuries caused in one attack by a rocket-propelled grenade round.

The aim of the Infantry Battle School in Wales, is to deliver trained officers and soldiers in order to meet the operational requirements of todays Infantry, the Army, and wider national Defence.
Location: At the entrance to the Infantry Battle School, Dering Lines, Brecon, Wales.
Brecon is National Park and a military training area. The barracks in Brecon are the home of the Army's Welsh HQ. The South Wales Borderers and the Welch regiment were amalgamated to form The Royal Regiment of Wales. They are based at Brecon Which was the base of the South Wales Borderers.
