The lodge sits behind a carefully trimmed private hedge with only the roof and clock tower visible above. The tower has two identical clock faces - one facing on to inner circle and the other away from Inner Circle. The clock has a white face with two circles on it. The outer circle, black in colour, has recesses cut into it to indicate the minute marks. The inner circle, that is also black together with the outer circle, hold the hour marks in place. The hour marks are traditional Roman numerals and are also black. The hands of the clock are also black. The tip of the hour hand sweeps the inner circle and the tip of the minute hand sweeps the recessed areas of the outer circle. The clocks were not working on this occasion (December 2011).
