This set of gates is on the eastern side of Queen Mary's Gardens and are a barrier between Inner Circle and the gardens. There are three gates. The north and south gates are for pedestrian access with the centre gate for vehicular access and is kept closed and locked except for park vehicles entering and exiting the gardens. Between the outer gates and the centre gates are railings.

The actual hinged parts of the gates are vertical iron bars. The gate posts and tops of the gates are where the distinction is. The general ironwork is painted black but the intricate ironwork at the sides and tops of the gates are painted in gold. The centre gate is arched at the top and the side gates are straight across. The centre gate is the most elaborate with an eight pointed star at the centre and leaf work at either side of the star. Beneath the star is the year "1933" in gold. The side gates also have gold leaf work and intricate iron work.

The reverse sides of the gates are a mirror image of the fronts.
