ENG: The obelisk erected in 1922 to honour 'the glorious cooperation and frank comradeship of the French and British Navies during the Great War'. As with its counterpart on the English side of the Channel, at Leatercote Point near St Margaret's Bay, the memorial is dedicated to the Royal Navy command which defended the Strait of Dover during the First World War. The original obelisk was destroied during the WWII, this one was rebuiled in 1962.

FR: L´obélisque inauguré en 1922 « en témoignage de la glorieuse coopération et de la franche camaraderie des marines française et britannique pendant la Grande Guerre ». Avec sa réplique situé de l’autre côté de la Manche à St. Margaret-at-Cliff près de Douvres, ce monument témoigne de l’action de la Dover Patrol (Patrouille de Douvres) pour la défense du stratégique détroit du Pas-de-Calais au cours de la Grande Guerre. Le monument d'origine a été détruit par l'armée allemande au cours de la deuxième guerre mondiale. Il a été reconstruit et inauguré en 1962.

Obelisk má protejšek na anglické strane Kanálu, v Leatercote Point u St Margaret's Bay. Pucodní obelisk znicili Nemci za 2. sv. války. Obnoven byl v roce 1962.
