This sign is on Niles Blvd. It features Charlie Chaplin and a movie camera. Niles used to be it's own city, until it joined four other communities to form the city of Fremont. Niles was the home of Essanay Studios, where Chaplin shot some early movies. Niles is also the home to the silent film history museum.
