Joseph (Antoinette Bergeron) d'ériger une grotte à la Vierge Marie en invoquant sa protection contre une épidémie de poliomyelite. Tous les enfants furent épargnés. (1946-47) Le projet fut exécuté sous la direction de Sr. Thérèse de l'Enfant-Jésus (Alphéda Provencher) en collaboration avec les élèves de l'école, les paroissiens et l'appui de M. l'Abbé Marcel Dacquay, curé de Lourdes en 1954. [Translation] The Grotto opened September 12, 1954 realized a promise made by Sr. M. Joseph (Antoinette Bergeron) to build a grotto to the Virgin Mary, invoking her protection against an outbreak of polio. All children were spared.
