This band shell was built as a gift to the city of Sioux Falls. The project was led by the Cosmopolitan Club. July 4, 1926 was the dedication of the band shell. This Sunday evening ceremony marked the 150th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence and was attended by an enormous crowd of 10,000 people.
