Escultura Habitável (Inhabitable Sculpture) is a work of Portuguese Artist Miguel Arruda.
This is a living sculpture designed by architect Miguel Arruda and is a reinterpretation of one of his first sculptures in the 60´s. It´s an interpretation of a living space for an architectural experience. The "module", described in a gallery during the year 68, is now 56 times larger than its original size. This new dimension gives the concept a comfortable indoor space.
Originally the sculture was coated with cork giving it the aspect of a real (and odd ) shack. Today, only the metal structure is in display.
The sculpture can be seen in the Gardens of CCB (Centro Cultural de Belem / Belem Cultural Centre)
