A well worn gargoyle on the wall of the south aisle of this large village church.

This is a well worn gargoyle of a man with a cap and bulging eyes placed in the parapet of the south aisle of St.Mary the Virgin's church. The church was restored in 1878 and it is possible that it was removed from its original position as there is no water outlet at this point of the gutter. It's just to the right of the south porch and the left of the first aisle window.
