Across the width of the parking lot outside the main entrance of Breed & Co retail store are footprints in a the concrete cap of what appears to be a water line or gas line repair.

Breed & Co. is a retail store that offers the Mom & Pop feel of the old local hardware store blended with the high end of silver service sets, cutlery and kitchen ware or other kinds of houseware items. There is even some quality gardening supples to be gotten there. There are only two Breed stores in Austin, TX. This one is located at 718 W 29th St., Austin, TX 78705, between Guadalupe St. and N Lamar Blvd. In the front parking area of this eclectic store, there must have been a need to dig a trench across the asphalt topped parking lot. The trench runs from near the front entrance in a snaked fashion across the width of the lot and outward to the street. It looks like the type of repair trench dug when a water or gas or sewer pipe has had major replacement. Anyway, after filling in the trench, a layer of concrete was pored as the cap to the trench. Obviously, some adults walked along the length of the concrete pathway. It appears that different unknown people had imbeedded their footprints into the drying concrete. At some point after the repair and the footprints, the parking lot got a top coat coating of the otherwise asphault parking lot because the concrete now has the same black coloring as the rest of the lot.
