Originally built for a contest put on by the Museum of Outdoor Art. Douglas County High School students designed and built this 39-foot-long sculpture. The sculpture was then donated to the City of Lone Tree who installed it here.
The City's third piece of public art, The Illusion of Man, was dedicated October of 2004. Installed west of the Lone Tree Recreation Center, the sculpture was designed by art students at Douglas County High School in 2004.
Depending on where one views this fascinating piece, it portrays a man with an umbrella - or the fourteen elements that comprise that portrayal.
