At the entrance to Woolley Wood there is a gate with an inscribed yellow panel in the shape of a foot. It has a reference to Fenrir a mythological monstrous wolf. The gods believed that he would destroy the world and tried to chain him. Being immensley strong he broke the chains, and only after being tricked was he contained by a magical chain.

The wording reads-
"Since the last ice age this ancient Bluebell Wood has stood. Woolley Wood...clearing of the wolf venture inside to seek the lost gateway and discover the legend of Fenrir a monstrous wolf. Bound by magical chain so that he could not destroy the world."
