Situated very hign above Králíky town, there is pilgrimage area that is connected with the town by the alley with village chapels - Complex of Monastery Mountain of Godly Mother (Klášter na Hore Matky Boží). This monumental complex was established under bishop of Hradec Králové Tobias Johannes Becker between the years 1696-1710. The pilgrim church including richly decorated cloisters and the courtyard with the chapel of Holy Stairs is open to public for free.

The sandstone cross located in this area looks to be Late Baroque one. There are two dates on the rear of its pedestastal - 1809 and 1850. 1809 is probably date of its creation. In 1850 it was opened in the complex a new hotel for pilgrims (Pilgrimage House Hotel). According to cuts visible just on the rear of the pedestal, it seems to be possible that the cross was moved here (cutted) from other place just in this date. But it is just a surmise. There are no informations on the cross history.
