The Granby, Ct welcome sign, northbound on Route 10, has as three major element. In the center is a large oak tree. Granby is home to the Dewey-Granby Oak, a huge 450 year old tree that also appears on the town seal. Granby lies in the Farmington River Valley and several major tributeries flow through Granby into the Farmington, most important of which is Salmon Brook. A waterway also appears on the town seal. The western part of Granby is a north-to-south ridge known as the West Mountains. Below is the slogan: PRIDE OF THE VALLEY. The sign is attached to two fieldstone posts topped with large white finials.
