While on the north side of the Ohio River, Ellis Park is a horse track in Henderson, Kentucky. Ellis is nearly 90 years old, being built in 1922, then called Dade Park. 3 years later, the track was bought by James Ellis, the now namesake of the track.
The track is a 1.125 mile dirt track and 1 mile turf track. The facility contains a 6,000 seat grandstand. The track is also home to the Gardenia Stakes every year.
