New Year's Eve in Prague
Prague is a popular destination for New Year's Eve. The celebrations are enjoyed by one and all: the young and old, the quiet and romantic, the wild and carefree. There are entertainment options to suit all tastes.
Some people choose a restaurant with an all-inclusive night of fine food, drinks and dancing. Others prefer a romantic, candlelit dinner 'à deux'. Some bar crawl and chance on finding a club after the fireworks. Others buy tickets for a party in a club or music bar. Finally, there is the ever popular Party Boat and Jazz Cruise.
New Year's Eve Fireworks
As midnight approaches, crowds gather around the city to watch one of several firework displays. Broadly, there are two options for where to enjoy the midnight fireworks. The first option is to head for anywhere on or overlooking the river - this means near Charles Bridge, Prague Castle or on Petrin Hill. The second option for where to watch the midnight fireworks is to head for the Old Town Square.
