There are no real recreational facilities at this park on the corner, but it is nicely landscaped with a wrought-iron entrance arch, commemorative plaques, engraved brick work, amid the lawn and shrubs, with a few benches.
The west entrance from Elm Street leads through the archway with bricks like spokes leading to a central circle with the Rotary International emblems so that the over all park design reflects the Rotary wheel. The east entrance on Union Street slopes down to some granite steps.
Welcome to
The Milford Rotary Club Centennial Park
the Milford Rotary Club designed and built
this beautiful park to commemorate
the 100th Anniversary of Rotary International,
a worldwide service organization which celebrated
its Centennial on February 23, 2005.
The park, located on the Livermore Association property,
recognizes both the accomplishments of Rotary International
throughout the world as well as contributions made by
our local Rotary Club.
Engraved bricks, honoring the 31 charter members
of the Milford Rotary Club,
surround the Rotary emblem.
Bricks for succeeding generations of Milford Rotarians
are placed in the next circle.
Throughout the park are names of contributors
who have made this project a reality.
Milford Rotary Club established June 1950.
