In a traffic triangle at the intersections of Routes 20 and 181 there is a Knox Trail historical marker. The Rotary Club of Palmer has undertaken a landscaping project to beautify the area behind the marker. They have planted flowers and shrubs and created an outline map of Palmer with the various communities of Palmer: Bondsville, Depot Village, Thorndike, and Three Rivers, labelled with signs.
