The "Quinta Pedagógica dos Olivais" is a unique place in the city of Lisbon where everybody (children in particular) can take contact about country and farm reality, learn about nature in an atractive way and being aware of environment issues like nature and animal protection, biological agriculture and recycling.
In this place we can find several animals that usually we can only find outside the big city. Horses, Cows, Sheep, Goats, Pigs, Chickens, Ducks are some of the animals you can find there.
The Farm has guided tours, manual activities like planting things, making bread, ceramics, traditional games, recreating old traditions among other activities.
This mural is inside the Farm in the wall on the left side of the main entrance road and was made with the works of children that visit the Quinta Pedagógica. It´s a colection of unique tiles made of clay and painted by those small visitors.
