Rozhledna na vrcholku Chlumu 416 m n. m je vlastne takovym pamatnikem, na dnes jiz zapomenuty Svaz ceskoslovenskych delnickych turistu. Svaz vznikl v roce 1921, a prestoze byl celostatni, centrem jeho cinnosti se brzy stala Plzen. A prave mistni pobocka v Doubravce prisla s myslenkou postavit na Chlumu vyletni stavbu s rozhlednou.
