This beach is at the end of the road on the Uihang Peninsula past the well known beaches of Maillipo and Cheollipo within the Taeanhaean National Park. It is a charming cove surrounding by forested mountains.

Geurumpo Beach is a gem, but less frequently visited than the other beaches on this peninsula because it is at the end of the road, which is not always in good condition. There are no resorts here, only minbak and an established camping area. There are restrooms and a small store open only during the peak summer months, so it is somewhat of a rustic location.
The beautiful crescent beach within this cove is very scenic and has the shallow flat sand typical of Korea's west coast. There are hiking trails and some nature preserve here as well. It is included within the large area of Taeanhaean National Park (태안해안국립공원).
