CZ: Jádrem prírodní rezervace Kotvice je melký zarostlý rybník stejného jména o rozloze 55 ha na potoce Sedlnice s mokrady, slepými rícními rameny a lužním porostem v rybnicní soustave na pravém brehu Odry mezi Albrechtickami a Studénkou v CHKO Poodrí. Prírodní rezervace byla vyhlášena v roce 1970 na rozloze 60,56 ha.
Na hladine rybníku v rezervaci rostou vzácné vodní rostliny, zejména kotvice plovoucí, po které získala rezervace své jméno, nepukalka vzplývavá a bublinatka jižní, pod hladinou rdest tupolistý, vláskovitý a svetlý, u brehu kvete kosatec žlutý, v lese sneženka podsnežník, prstnatec májový a kruštík polabský. Na vrbami porostlé hrázi, mezi porosty orobince i v prilehlém lužním lese hnízdí vzácné druhy vodních ptáku, jako je labut velká, lyska cerná, potápka rohác, kvakoš nocní, potápka cernokrká, bukácek malý, círka modrá, lžicák pestrý, polák malý, hohol severní, chrástal vodní, lednácek rícní, moudivlácek lužní, cáp bílý, volavka popelavá ci kormorán velký. Z obojživelníku se tu vyskytují colek velký a obecný, rosnicka zelená, skokan skrehotavý, zelený a ostronosý ci kunka obecná. Žijí tu i nekteré ohrožené druhy savcu, jako netopýr vodní, stromový a parkový ci vydra rícní. Po obvodu prírodní rezervace prochází naucná stezka, na jejíchž informacních tabulích najdete informace o nejvetších pozoruhodnostech této zajímavé lokality.

EN: The centre of the Kotvice nature reserve is the pond of the same name having area of 55 ha. The pond is surrounded by wetlands, dead river arms and alluvial forest and lies on the Sedlnice brook in the pond system on the right bank of the Odra river between Albrechticky and Studénka. The territory was proclaimed nature reserve in 1970 and its area is 60,56 ha.
Rare species of water plants grow in the reserve. On the surface of the ponds it is for example water caltrop, floating fern and Utricularia australis, under the surface you can find Potamogeton obtusifolius, trichoides and lucens (shining pondweed), by the banks yellow iris, in the alluvial forest common snowdrop, western marsh orchid and terrestrial orchid Epipactis albensis. On the banks overgrown with the willows, among the vegetation of cattails and in the alluvial forest nearby rare species of water birds nest – e.g. mute swan, Eurasian coot, great crested grebe, black-crowned night-heron, little bittern, garganey, northern shoveller, water rail, common kingfisher, European penduline tit, white stork, grey heron and great cormorant. As for amphibians you can find there Great Crested Newt, Smooth Newt, European tree frog, Male Marsh Frog, Edible Frog, Altai brown frog, Fire-bellied Toad. Also some endangered species of mammals live there, like Daubenton's Bat, Leisler's Bat, Nathusius' Pipistrelle or Eurasian otter.
