The sign is located at the entrance of the Matinha de Queluz park, a small forest park once conected with the nearby Queluz Royal Palace and today separated by the IC19 Highway, the road with the highest traffic in Portugal.
Even with this noisy neighbour, Matinha de Queluz is an Oasis when we get deep inside it and we can see several types of birds (including birds of prey), squirrels and small rodents like rabbits. Fauna is also diversified with lots of diferent trees kile pines, oaks and cork trees as well as diferents flowers.
The Park opens early in the morning and closes at dawn (opening and closing times may vary according to the season of the year) and it´s often used by the local inhabitants for walking, running and mountain biking.
