This 1689 marble sculpture is located in the Gardens of the Versailles Palace. It depicts a barechested Pan from his head to his torso. He holds his characteristic flute in his right hand. A sheepskin is draped over his right forearm and waist. Read more about him at (

"Pan is the largest crater on Jupiter's moon Amalthea. It is 100 kilometers across and at least 8 kilometers deep.[1] It is named after Pan, the Greek god of shepherds and the countryside."
