This is a small, one-acre park located behind the public library in Newport, Oregon, donated by the local Rotary Club with a dedication plaque.

Literacy Park was donated by the Rotary Club of Newport, chartered in 1955, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, as well as the Centennial of Rotary International.

The one-acre park includes a concrete open amphitheater and a bronze sculpture of two girls sitting on a bench reading books. There is also a dedication plaque mounted on a large rock.

There is no playground or restrooms.
