This benchmark is located at the south end of the Yaquina Bay Bridge. The cap is located at the southwest corner of the bridge at the west curb line of sidewalk. The cap was set by the Oregon State Highway Department in 1936 and was marked Y2.

RECOVERY NOTE BY NATIONAL GEODETIC SURVEY 1988 RECOVERED IN GOOD CONDITION. A NEW TO REACH FOLLOWS. 2.6 KM (1.60 MI) SOUTHERLY ALONG U.S. HIGHWAY 101 FROM ITS JUNCTION WITH U.S. HIGHWAY 20 IN NEWPORT. ADD--4.1 M (13.5 FT) WEST OF THE CENTERLINE OF THE HIGHWAY. THE MARK IS 0.3 M ABOVE THE HIGHWAY.
