The memorial consists of a stone marker engraved with a stylized eagle on the front face. The eagle's wings are spread and its head is turned to the proper right. Beneath the eagle is the following inscription:

Duty, Honor,
Country,
Well Done,
Be Thou At Peace

Also on the front of the stone marker near its base is the following inscription:
