This googie styled Dennys Restaurant is just off of I-5 at Exit 191 on a small hill overlooking the valley.
The architects Louis Armet and Eldon Davis designed many of the early googie style restaurants and buildings in southern California beginning in the 50's and 60's, and this design reflects their early work, though Denny's had its most rapid proliferation in the 70's. The characteristic exposed beams and swept roof are distinctive and found in other Dennys such as the Dennys on E. Colorado Blvd. in Pasadena, California.
This particular Dennys also has the distinction of being used to film a classic scene in the oscar-nominated 1970 movie, Five Easy Pieces.
