“When in doubt, punt!” is one of John Heisman's most quoted quotes in later years but that would have been after he played here or maybe he picked that line up right here.
The animal section of the bleachers located at the north end of the field in the only part of the seating that is under a roof, but it is at such a steep angel that even the people sitting there would still get wet if it rained.
Some time ago the bleachers on the west and east sides of the field were updated to allow handicapped access and a second food stand was added just off the south end of the field near the new ticket both and entrance. A new away team locker room was added behind the new snack stand.
After an outcry from the local citizens the plans for the fields remodel were changed to allow the stone wall to stay at the south end of the field helping to maintain some of the fields history.
The schools colors are brown and gold and you will see a rocket up on a poll at the corner of the practice field that is right next to the ball field. A mascot that is a student wearing a rocket pack can be seen on the sidelines at times. Parking is availible on the streets around the field sometimes out a couple of blocks so if you want to park close be sure to get there early. If you are only stopping by on non game days to get the waymark parking should be much easier.
