Instead of being just another plaque or building about Saramago, here we have a very nice grafitti about the Man and Writer, a proof that he was greater than the conventions around rich and poor.
He was awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1998. He also won the Camões Prize, the most important literary prize of the Portuguese language. Saramago was considered responsible for the effective international recognition of prose in Portuguese.
The grafitti is at an abandoned building near Lisbon and besides the Saramago´s face we can read "gostar é provavelmente a melhor maneira de ter, ter deve ser a pior maneira de gostar" (love is probably the best way to have, to have must be the worst way to love), one of his sentences.
