An old lime tree
Waymark Code: WMCWW8
Location: Nordrhein-Westfalen, Germany

Its trunk is almost completely eroded, and bears the burden only with the support of strong steel rods that hold the tree. They are part of the tree-surgical treatment in 1985.
These stem-bark fragments look like dead wood in winter. But the tree is still viable and every year drives out fresh foliage in summer.
Under the tree is now the beer garden of a restaurant.
