This interpretive sits upright and is more like a billboard. it is in front of the entrance and a little to the side of the entrance to the meeting house. it looks pretty darn new. The sign features a beautiful picture of the interior of the meetinghouse. The sign of history was installed by the National Park Service. The interpretive reads:
The Society of Free Quakers built this meeting house as a place of worship in 1783. Free Quakers took an active role in supporting the American Revolution and split from the traditional and "non-fighting" Quakers (Society of Friends). This building is now preserved as a public museum.
