This adorable sculpture shows a “future doctor” checking the vitals of his puppy. The artwork is at the entrance to the Wegner Health Science Information Center near Sanford’s Children Hospital and brings a smile to all who pass it. A plaque tells the details:
“Check Up. Our future doctor is ‘checking up’ on his buddy. Sculptor Carol Cunningham, CO; Sculpture Walk 2010. A tribute to the Wegner Health Science Information Center. Dr. Loren (’54) and Mavis Admunson, 2011.”
The bronze sculpture is mounted on a block of Sioux Quartzite.
