This is a classic historic one-room school with a single bell mounted in the front tower. Built in 1894.

This one-room school house was built in 1894 and was in use until 1948 after which students went by bust to schools in Estacada. The Viola Community Club has preserved it and, although well maintained, it is used only occasionally for meetings. The bell appears to be functional but it is unclear if it is actually ever used.
