Cette fontaine a été édifiée par le sculpteur Edmé Boucharon dans la première moitié du XVIIIème siècle et inaugurée par le prévôt des marchand Turgot.
Elle est constituée d'un avant-corps qui comporte trois statues représentant la ville de Paris trônant entre la Seine et la Marne.
Et de deux ailes en demi-cercles qui contiennent, dans des niches, des statues symbolisant les quatre saisons.
Son fond est formé de colonnes ioniques, cannelées supportant un fronton triangulaire où, depuis la révolution une couronne de lauriers remplace les armes de France.

This fountain was built by the sculptor Edmé Boucharon in the first half of the XVIIIth century and inaugurated by the provost of the trader Turgot.
It is constituted by an extension which contains three statues representing the city of Paris throning between the Seine river and the Marne river.
And of two wings in semicircles which contain, in niches, statues symbolizing four seasons.
It bottom is formed by Ionic columns, grooved supporting a triangular pediment where, since the revolution a laurel wreath replaces the weapons of France.
