The Osage County Courthouse the third for the county was built 1923-25 replacing a 1874 courthouse which was destroyed by fire on October 30, 1922. The three story red brick courthouse was designed by architect Henry H. Hohenschild and constructed by the McCarthy Construction Company. The courthouse was received in October 1925. The courtroom is on the third floor and jail was built in the basement.
