The present terminal building was designed by Robert Matthew, and constructed in 1977. It has been upgraded in recent years, with new car parking facilities and an extended arrivals hall in 2008 to 2010. A new control tower was completed in 2005.
There are all the usual facilities one expects these days whilst travelling by air, including advertising ephemera. The departure/arrivals boards are distributed throughout the terminal.
March 2016. Rani appears to have run off with her calf. There have been further upgrades to the arrivals area but nothing of any real interest put in place of her. Looks like a big extension is being built to the west of the existing west wing.
