The McBride Museum is located in downtown Whitehorse, and consists of multiple buildings and outside exhibits that house and display the full range of Yukon history. You can see an early blacksmith shop, learn about the First Nations culture, understand the transition from the time of gold seekers to modern times. And there is the very aptly named lower level of the main building, the Cluttertorium, a place where all those odds and ends that bring what once was out of everyone's closet or storage area, yet together they tell the story of what life was really like.
Well signed, and with plenty of nearby parking available in downtown Whitehorse. Hours vary by the season. Entry fee, but well worth it.
