Old benchmark by the Florida State Road Department (FL SRD). The SRD was absorbed by the new FL Department of Transportation (DOT) in 1969 so the mark must be older than that.

Mark is located on top of the east concrete bridge curb next to a metal handrail pole.

Mark is stamped:
FLORIDA S.R.D.
B.M. NO. 1-A
ELEV. 8.22

Note the unusual "holepunch" method of stamping the mark number and elevation which I have never seen used elsewhere.

Despite the mark's age, it is not listed in the NGS database.
